The "Wisdom Gathering in the Greater Bay Area, Collaborative Innovation" 2025 Macao-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Taiwan Young Entrepreneurs Summit, themed "A Shared Future for All, Chinese Sentiment," grandly opened on the morning of December 4th at the Grand Lisboa Hotel in Macao. This summit brought together young entrepreneurs and guests from across the Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong, and Macao , aiming to build a high-level platform for promoting intellectual exchange, resource integration, and project collaboration. Together, they will seize the development opportunities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and inject youthful vitality into regional collaborative innovation and national rejuvenation.

Guests from various sectors gathered for the opening ceremony to jointly promote a collaborative vision.

He Houhua, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Lin Keqing, Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, Ke Lan, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, Zhao Shitong, Deputy Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, Xia Liyan, President of the Cross-Strait Economic, Trade and Cultural Exchange Association, Lien Sheng-wen, Chairman of the Presidium of the Central Review Committee of the Kuomintang, Zhang Yingjie, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macao, and representatives of the organizing institutions attended the opening ceremony and served as officiating guests, witnessing this grand event of cross-regional youth cooperation.

In his address, Ho Hau-wah stated that this summit not only serves as a bridge for the exchange of ideas among young entrepreneurs from the four regions, but also focuses on cutting-edge areas such as the digital economy, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and green finance, laying the foundation for substantive cooperation. He encouraged young entrepreneurs to seize the opportunities, leverage the platform to complement each other's strengths, explore new paths for cooperation, tap into new market potential, transform innovative ideas into concrete industrial achievements, jointly enhance the Greater Bay Area's competitiveness on the international stage, and contribute youthful strength to national development and rejuvenation.

Lin Keqing, Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), pointed out that Guangdong, as the "main force" and "locomotive" of the Greater Bay Area construction, will promote high-quality regional development with a stronger sense of responsibility and work hand in hand with Hong Kong and Macao to create a development engine with global influence. He also extended an invitation to young people from the four regions, welcoming them to come to the Greater Bay Area to innovate and start businesses, unleash their talents, and work together to advance the great cause of national reunification and share the bright prospects of national rejuvenation.

Macau's Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Ko Lan, stated that Macau is striving to build itself into an important window for the nation's high-level opening-up and a bridge for cultural exchange between China and the West. This summit aligns closely with the SAR's policy direction and helps serve the Greater Bay Area's new positioning as "one point, two places." In the future, Macau will continue to leverage its unique role to attract capital, industries, technology, and talent from both sides of the Taiwan Strait and internationally to the Greater Bay Area, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.

Seize development opportunities and explore industrial synergy

In his speech, Zhao Shitong, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, expressed his hope that young entrepreneurs from the four regions would take advantage of the "15th Five-Year Plan" and high-quality development, actively invest and start businesses, expand their enterprises, realize their personal value in the process of participating in the economic take-off of the Chinese nation, and bravely shoulder the mission of the times to contribute to the reunification of the motherland.

Sean Lien, chairman of the Central Review Committee of the Kuomintang, emphasized cooperation in the technology industry, expressing his hope that the two sides of the Taiwan Strait and Hong Kong and Macao will deepen cooperation in artificial intelligence, robotics, intelligent manufacturing, digital finance and smart cities, not only to seek breakthroughs in business models and technology integration, but also to jointly explore international markets and promote Chinese enterprises to go global.

In addition, representatives of the organizers, including Tang Bingquan, President of the Sun Yat-sen Foundation, Dai Defeng, Chairman of the Hong Kong Guangdong Foreign Businessmen Association, and Huang Jiezhen, President of the Macao Youth Federation, also delivered speeches, unanimously emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties among young people from the four regions and jointly seizing opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.

Thematic seminars and keynote speeches promote substantive cooperation.

Following the opening ceremony, the summit moved into an in-depth exchange session. Zhao Changwen, Dean of the National School of Development at Sun Yat-sen University, and Yu Yusheng, Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Macao Science and Technology Development Fund, delivered keynote speeches, analyzing the development trends of the Greater Bay Area and the growth paths for enterprises from the perspectives of regional economic planning and the science and technology innovation ecosystem. Representatives of young entrepreneurs from the four regions also shared their experiences on topics such as "innovation and entrepreneurship practices" and "cross-regional industrial collaboration," resulting in a lively exchange and preliminary cooperation intentions from several companies.

That afternoon, the summit also held special sessions on two key topics: the "Digital AI Development Trends and Challenges" session explored the difficulties and prospects of artificial intelligence technology in practical applications; and the "New Forms of Service Trade and Business Opportunities" session focused on emerging business formats such as digital trade and cross-border services, helping companies find new opportunities in their transformation.

In an interview, Liang Jianfeng, a council member of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Huangpu Military Academy Alumni Descendants and Relatives Association, stated that inheriting the Huangpu spirit of "patriotism, revolution, unity, and struggle" is closely linked to the mission of young people from the four regions in jointly building the Greater Bay Area. He called on the younger generation to seize opportunities in fields such as artificial intelligence and green finance, transform innovation and collaboration into tangible results, and contribute their youthful energy to the reunification of the motherland and the rejuvenation of the nation.

Seven years of accumulation have built a brand that continuously supports the growth of young people.

It is understood that the "'For the Common Good' and 'Chinese Sentiment' Youth Entrepreneurs Exchange Conference of Macao, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Taiwan" has been held for seven consecutive sessions, taking place in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and Guangzhou. It has attracted thousands of young entrepreneurs from the four regions and has gradually become an important platform for young people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait and Hong Kong and Macao to exchange and interact, showcase their abilities and connect with resources.

This summit was jointly organized by the Macao Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Macao Youth Federation, the Sun Yat-sen Foundation, the Guangdong Provincial Youth Federation, the Hong Kong Guangdong Foreign Businessmen Association, the Hong Kong Guangdong CPPCC Members Association, the Cross-Strait Economic, Trade and Cultural Exchange Association, and the Taiwan Youth Elite Association. It not only opens a new chapter for cooperation among young people from the four regions, but also continuously injects youth innovation into the long-term development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
